The whole world is fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. Our daily lives came to a standstill, as we all had to remain at home. Humans are scared to get outside, thinking they may contract the virus. However, it has been a benefit to nature alone.

The environment has transformed drastically, which is extremely beneficial. The air has become cleaner due to reduction in pollution, there is a decline in waste. The oceans have become clearer, compared to its earlier state. Animals have come out of the forests due to reduced human activity. COVID-19 was a negative impact, but still this has led to the improvement of nature.

All the resources available on the earth are gifts from the environment to human beings. Humans have been taking it undeniable for a long time. It is our responsibility to care for our environment and protect it. On 5th June World Environmental Day is celebrated. This is one of the biggest events celebrated by different countries to raise awareness. Due to nature’s various resources, mankind is able to survive in this world. Hence, we need to reciprocate and care for it.

5th June was declared as World Environment Day by the UN General Assembly in 1972. On that day the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was held.  

In the last 20 years, the environment has converted for the worse. There is a huge pile of garbage, population increased, wastage of water, air pollution, etc. such imbalances can cause reactions back. As the lockdown has been lifted, we cannot go back to what nature was before. We have to care for the environment and change ourselves. Let’s not do what we did for the last 290 years. Instead take care of your homage. The more we care, the more it will care for us and ensure our survival.
